Mock trial

We are an AMTA (American Mock Trial Association) certified, completely student-run mock trial program. The UW-Undergraduate mockers currently consist of two teams of seven members; we do not rank our teams, and we receive minimal, if any, faculty or attorney coaching.

Despite this lack of outside help, we remain a strong and competitive force to be reckoned with. In the past two years, we have sent three teams to the first round of nationals, and four years ago, we sent a team to the final round. Last season, at least one team placed at every invitational that we participated in.

More importantly, though, we are known by other mock teams as being a friendly, good-humored bunch. For us, mock trial is not solely about performances and competition, but the people. We love spending time with each other and meeting new people throughout the season.

At the beginning of each school year, we hold tryouts to recruit new members. If you are interested in becoming part of our mock trial family, please look at the “Get Involved” section of this website for more information.
